Annie Chu

I grew up staying in San Francisco for the school year and spending breaks in Taiwan. I have an unhealthy amount of love for video games, board games, and D&D, and I hope to get diving training soon! My experience with scientific research has come from an eclectic background, with forensics experience during my undergrad, experience with marine organisms volunteering at the Aquarium of the Bay, and both computational and lab experience at UCSF in a protein-focused lab. My main interests are marine mammal communication and marine invertebrate immunity, which I hope to investigate further at Dr. Sarah Cohen's lab.
