Jivan Khakee

I received my BS in Aquatic Biology from UC Santa Barbara. As an undergraduate, I worked with the PISCO laboratory investigating Southern California’s rocky intertidal ecosystem. Additionally, I gained valuable research experience as a summer research intern in Florida with the Sanibel-Captiva Conservation Fund working on Oyster Reef Restoration Projects and HAB-related water quality assessment. Since graduating, I have contributed to restoration efforts around the Bay Area, and I am excited to continue studying estuarine restoration ecology as a part of Dr. Kathy Boyer’s lab.
