Angelo LaCommare-Soto

I’m a new IMES student from San Francisco, CA. I completed my bachelor's degree in marine sciences from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo in June. I’ll be part of the Boyer Lab at EOS Center. Traveling throughout the Americas and growing up along the California and Chile coasts fueled both my interest in marine sciences and my drive to understand the harmful environmental and social effects of climate change, both locally and globally. I’m also committed to making science more accessible, particularly to Hispanic communities, having previously interned at the California Academy of Sciences as a Teen Advocate for Science Communication and currently working most weekends at the Exploratorium in San Francisco.
