David Nelson

I grew up in coastal Rhode Island and spent much of my childhood on the water with my fisherman dad. I received my BS at URI in 2012 and moved to the Bay Area in 2014. Since then I’ve been working with USGS on migratory waterbird and estuarine foodweb research from the Pacific Northwest to the Salton Sea. I enjoy bad performance art, crafting with cardboard, and creating cat enrichment programs. Most weekends I can be found around the Greater Bay Area birding or documenting wildlife on inaturalist with my partner and friends.
