I am working with Anne in the Hines/Simonis Lab to establish baseline understandings of odontocete bioacoustics prior to the development of offshore windfarms. I am originally from Bellevue, Washington where I worked with Pacific Mammal Research and the Washington State Park System, researching harbor seals and harbor porpoises, while serving as a marine mammal interpretive naturalist. In April, I graduated from California Baptist University. When I am not listening to whales, you can find me surfing in Malibu, reading murder mysteries, doing Pilates, or hiking! A fun fact about me is that I swam for 16 years and competed as an NCAA Division 1 athlete all four years of undergrad - and no, I don’t miss it!
